Practical guide for using your Mimi-Foyer with ethanol

Your Mimi-Foyer ethanol fireplace is a stylish and warm addition to your space. It is simple to use, but requires a few key steps to ensure safety and enjoyment.

How to assemble your Mimi-Foyer?

You have received your mini concrete fireplace and are ready to assemble it. Here are the simple steps to assemble it:

1. Unpack and enjoy the moment

Take a moment to appreciate your purchase or gift. If you purchased it online, please know that we use recycled boxes. Don't be fooled by the outside, it's what's inside that counts!

2. Prepare the cup

  • Protect the stainless steel cup with a cloth or plastic wrap (such as Saran Wrap).
  • This prevents sand from entering the cup during installation.

    • 3. Position the stainless steel pot

  • Place the cup inside the concrete pot, at the desired height.
  • Make sure it is stable and centered.

    • 4. Add the sand

  • Pour the sand around the cup, gently and evenly, to the desired height.
  • Remove the fabric or plastic to complete the installation.

    • And there you have it! Your mini fireplace is ready to use.

    Using your Mimi-Foyer with ethanol

    You can find fireplace ethanol at hardware stores like Canadian Tire , Canac or Walmart.

    Step 1: Fill the cup

    • Pour the ethanol carefully : Carefully fill the stainless steel pot with ethanol. You can use a funnel to avoid spills.

    • In case of spillage : If ethanol is spilled, do not ignite it immediately. Wipe off any traces with a dry cloth before proceeding.

    Step 2: Ignition

    • Use a long match or lighter : A small touch of flame on the ethanol is enough. The burning time is about 30 minutes.

    • Do not refill immediately after extinguishing : Wait until the fireplace has completely cooled before adding ethanol.

    Step 3: Extinction

    • Extinguish safely : If you need to extinguish the fireplace, use a fire extinguisher or appropriate accessory. Be sure to use a material that does not burn and cuts off the air to properly extinguish the flame.

    • Be careful with heat : Do not touch the fire after it has gone out, it will be very hot.

    • Never leave a burning fireplace unattended.
    • Use in a well-ventilated area.
    • Keep out of reach of children and animals .
    • Store ethanol in a cool, dry place, and close the container tightly after each use.
